About the Author
Although singer and pianist by profession, writing is an inherent part of Katy’s life, large swathes of it prompted by the deaths of her mother, and later her father, poet Derek Mahon, in 2020. Katy has been published in Drawn to the Light Press Issue 3, and she will appear later this year in the inaugural edition of The Liminal Review. She is working on two poetry pamphlets and a collaboration with York artist Carolyn Coles.
