Poems by Arlette Manasseh

Arlette Manasseh likes films, novels, poetry and chocolate. Some of her favourite reads are middle grade verse novels. These poems are taken from a verse novel she is writing about a thirteen year old girl called Breeze who lives in a small coastal town, where bullying has become a big problem. Breeze ends up in a coma, but you don’t see that here. Her way out of it happens because of the power of friendship and her own imagination. In 2023, Arlette received a Creative Writing MLitt with distinction from the University of Glasgow.
